Day 20 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Day 20 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Woke up very early for a Saturday and made myself a raspberry chocolate protein shake, it went really well with my breakfast of eggs and mushrooms, delicious, all part of my healthy balanced diet plan. I covered a group at work with gymnastics a lot younger than I teach at their skill level and was really fun. They were all well behaved although very clumsy, they kept falling off the beam walking into things and even kicking things by accident. Made me giggle a little and it was strange having to comfort a kid and tell them they are ok. My older girls just moan and then get on with it, I usually tell a great tale of how I split the beam or whatever happens to cheer them up. As an ex-gymnast/adult gymnast I understand I’ve experienced it.

After work it was so sunny, as I walked to my car in the car park I could see how dirty it was! I just had to get it cleaned. It took me a while to think of anywhere where I could sit in the car and get it washed, but remembered a local supermarket near me did one so I went there. The guys cleaning flirted with me and even thought I was Romanian, I said “No I’m English, but my name is Russian” total panic didn’t know what to say but at least I made them laugh. My car was super shiny felt much better! When I returned home I ate a fish dish as allowed in my balanced diet plan that my brother had made, it tasted good. I ate it reminiscing and playing on the Atari Jaguar console we recently saved from our old house’s loft. We played a game called Karts briefly and it even had our names remembered on the exact same controllers too, so cool.

I had a chocolate shake fudge bar I made on day 17 and another shake following my balanced diet plan to the letter. I spent my Saturday night in round my friends house watching a gymnastics movie called Stick it. It is my favourite movie and if you haven’t seen it and are interested in gymnastics watch it. We then mucked around the house doing handstands and elephant lifts (straddle press handstands) against the wall. I also entertained myself and their kitten with a green laser pointer. Had a nice relaxing bath before bed and drank a herbal tea. Good night everyone and hope you are working on a good balanced diet plan, if you would like any help on it just ask me 🙂

Day 19 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Day 19 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

I really think that this challenge has helped me improve balance in life. Today I managed to juggle work, food, gymnastics training and social life particularly well. I did wake up a little sniffy today so hope I am not coming down with a cold, I’ve already had one this year and it was quite nasty. I had all my food prepped and made breakfast before work, including a delicious strawberry vanilla protein shake with fibre. I had packed my shake for later and my lunch of leftover shepherd’s pie. I managed to improve balance in hunger and work. It is tricky at the gym to eat but having the shake was quick enough to drink in a 15 min break between preschool and junior gym. And my leftover shepherd’s pie from yesterday was easily heated up around 3:30 on my break before my general girls came in.

Luckily I got to finish work early again today that won’t last long but I just felt so tired so was happy to go home for 2 hours. I had a little casserole and a nap. Afterwards I felt a little feverish which was not good, keeping my eye on that! At gymnastics I worked to improve balance of training and socialising whilst at the gym. Now I did really well and worked my beam routine and did a little tumbling with my friend. We then went out afterwards for a coffee, I didn’t buy anything but we all sat and chatted. We mostly talked about future events and holidays, but we also shared training stories and what we are all working on. I brought some food home for my brother and her Fiancé and snacked on a couple of chocolate protein fudge bars I made before I headed to bed. I have a little headache tonight, sleep should cure that, cross fingers. Good night everyone.

Day 18 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Day 18 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Started my morning with a strawberry “lemonade” vanilla protein shake following a recipe given on the facebook page for 30 days to healthy living. It was very nice, I will be making that one again, yummy. I was excited for lunch because I had leftover shepherd’s pie and I love all the benefits of eating leftovers. Not only do you not have to cook again you also don’t have to buy more food for that day. There are so many more benefits of eating leftovers too, I think the food tastes so much better the next day and there also isn’t any food going to waste. Although I was disappointed in the appearance of the pie it tasted good.

My strawberry “lemonade” shake this morning was super scrummy!

At work my energy levels were good, good enough I didn’t need a fizz stick and I went on well until 6. I had aerobics straight after work but it was a little different today. There were hardly any people who turned up because it was so cold outside, apparently it is forecasted to snow again soon. We did body conditioning which for me is super easy but I love conditioning so enjoyed it. It went by so fast and before I knew it I had to be at gymnastics. I quickly ate an avocado, carrot, some cucumber and raddish wish humous, again having these foods so handy really shows me the benefits of eating leftovers and having them available to hand. I definitely feel a lot happier eating these healthy foods.

Gymnastics was pretty good and I worked on a couple of things I don’t normally work on. My routines need a lot of work but at least I have goals set and ready. Me and a friend went shopping and I was so good, not tempted by anything and left buying only water! When I got home I planned what I needed to do for tomorrow, I work a full day so need to make sure I have everything in order. I am getting much better at organising my food much more so than the frantic state I was in on day 11. I had a nice chat on the phone and writing this is the very last thing I’m doing before my head hits the pillow tonight, goodnight everyone.

Day 17 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Day 17 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Straight away this morning I had a shake and headed off to work to coach junior gymnastics. I then decided I wanted to do some meal preps for this week so went shopping. I bought only a few things and snacked on raw veggies with humous when I got home. I did a little online work, ate leftover soup and avocado and went swimming. I swim every week with my brother, his fiancé and my mum. We swim in the diving pool, me and my brother practice diving and testing our breath hold at the bottom of the 3m deep pool for fun. I was a little sad because Wednesday’s are usually my date night and my boyfriend wasn’t feeling well.

I didn’t know what to do with my time so went shopping again and bought more food for meal preps. I had a snack of hard boiled eggs and also tried gluten free artisan tiger bread, it’s not bad! I worked on my meal preps and cooked these weird little chocolate protein fudges and a sweet potato shepherds pie. I didn’t seem to correctly convert the american recipe units so my tray was too big. Lots of surface area but a very thinly layered shepherds pie was made. I placed both meal preps into the fridge for tomorrow. I had another protein shake and a herbal tea before bed time. Not sure that I spent my time wisely today or not, not used to having so much time on my hands! Compare today to yesterday and you can tell I really like to be busy.

Healthy almond butter & chocolate protein fudge bars, totally weird and 100% moreish!

Day 16 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Day 16 to 30 Days to Healthy Living

Had a pretty busy morning preparing food for the day and working on my online business. I made myself a butternut squash soup and had boiled eggs for breakfast. I had two protein shakes with fibre support and digestion aid in. I am looking forward to my herbal tea in the evening. Before work at the gymnastics club I drank my fizz stick to bring my energy levels up now these are just amazing I have a link to all the nutritional products as part of my challenge on my day 1 post. I had a few pistachios as a treat too. I’ve had lots of people asking about my clean eating challenge 2018 and a lot of them refer to it as a diet. Now I don’t like to use that word because to me it implies limitations and seems negative. That is why I changed it to clean eating challenge 2018 because a “challenge” is competitive and something you want to do well at. I’m very good at tricking my mind just through positive thinking and changing words to portray what I want.

I do love how supportive this 30 days to healthy eating challenge 2018 is and all the before and after photos of peoples’ weight loss is incredibly inspiring, it really works. I love that there is a facebook group full of people sharing their recipes and how they are doing with it. Health and nutrition coaches, recipes, shopping lists everything you need to actually motivate you to do this is just given to you – love love love it. I’m already planning on doing a shop tomorrow to try out some of these recipes I haven’t tried yet. Work was fun and my gymnasts worked hard, my energy throughout the evening was steady. At pole fitness I had finally mastered all the moves on level 12 and I wanted to get graded to move up a level however I was knackered and my hand ripped! I will try next week.Time to have my herbal tea before bed, good night everyone.
